The guiding principles behind our educational work

  • Each child brings along his or her own set of skills
  • Each child plays an active role in shaping his or her educational processes
  • Each child is an expert when it comes to knowing what he or she needs
  • Each child is curious by nature

Each child has the need to understand the world; this is how they learn. Learning takes place through play and through everyday experiences.

Education is about forming a view of the world. This always involves forming a view of yourself and of others in this world as well.

The nursery school teachers see themselves as the children’s guides and companions, teaching and learning at the same time. Our teachers recognise and accept all children as independent, distinctive personalities, with all their strengths and weaknesses, needs, feelings and experiences.
